National TV Coverage for CDIO Lier on VRT

During Belgium’s very first FEI Nations Cup Dressage at CDIO Lier, there was already significant media attention on the opening day. Film crews from Equibel and HippoTV visited the event in Lier, and footage was broadcast last night during the evening news on VRT. Top rider Domien Michiels and one of the organizers,  Thomas Eyckmans, were featured discussing the first edition of this event.

Representing the organization, Thomas Eyckmans said: “Of course, we hope for a Belgian victory in the Nations Cup,” he said, adding: “A Belgian win would be great for both Belgian dressage and the event itself.”
Belgian dressage team rider Domien Michiels also expressed his excitement: “It’s something special, for the first time on home soil, with a Belgian audience and extra fans. We’re now in the same league as Aachen and Rotterdam.”
